The three-day conference will be devoted to the intersections of architecture and Scandinavian literature, language, and culture. If it is true, as Renzo Piano has recently argued, that ‘writers are deeply jealous of architects, who build things; and architects are jealous of writers, who build worlds’ (Il Corriere della Sera, 27.4.22), beyond the long tradition of rivalry, there are numerous intersections and forms of dialogue, not only between architecture and literature, but also by broadening our gaze to other forms of cultural expression as well as linguistic structures, including the pedagogical perspective.

This conference aims to investigate these relationships in panels dedicated to Nordic literatures and languages, including interdisciplinary approaches.

The deadline for submissions was 31 March 2023.
